She Dropped Out Of School! Karisma Kapoor was so passionate about acting that she dropped out of school to pursue her career in Bollywood and made her debut in the industry at the tender age of 16! Karisma entered in Bollywood with director K. Murali Mohan Rao’s film Prem Qaidi.

The Secret Behind Her Nickname And Eyes All of us know that Karisma Kapoor’s nickname is “Lolo” but do you know where that came from or why was she called that? Well, her nickname is from Hollywood actress Gina Lollobrigida. About her eyes, Karisma’s green eyes are the trademark of the Kapoor family. Karisma was the first woman and the fifth generation to inherited green eyes in Kapoor’s clan.

Her Own TV Series Karisma Kapoor had her on Television series. Yes, the show was telecasted on Sahara and called “Karishma”. The actress played three different roles in her own television series. The show lasted over 262 episodes. It ran from 2003 to 2004.

Films That Karisma Turned Down! The role of Tina in Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was offered to Karisma Kapoor, but the actress turned it down because she didn’t want to play side roles back then. Later, the role went to Rani Mukherjee, who won awards for her performance in the film. Apart from this, films like Ishq, Gupt, Asoka The Great, Talaash and Bride and Prejudice were also offered to Karisma Kapoor, which she turned down. On the other hand, there were also films which weren’t actually offered to Karisma at first. Her role in Raja Hindustani was originally offered to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was to make her debut in the industry, but due to her commitments to Miss World contest, the actress couldn’t make it and then Karisma was brought on board. Karisma’s role in her superhit film Dil Toh Pagal Hai was first offered to Raveena Tandon, after her rejection, the film went to Juhi Chawla, then Kajol, then Manisha Koirala and then Shilpa Shetty.
