The role of Tina in Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was offered to Karisma Kapoor, but the actress turned it down because she didn’t want to play side roles back then. Later, the role went to Rani Mukherjee, who won awards for her performance in the film. Apart from this, films like Ishq, Gupt, Asoka The Great, Talaash and Bride and Prejudice were also offered to Karisma Kapoor, which she turned down. Her role in Raja Hindustani was originally offered to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was to make her debut in the industry, but due to her commitments to Miss World contest, the actress couldn’t make it and then Karisma was brought on board.
