Manoj Kumar To Sue Shah Rukh Khan For Rs. 100 Crores

When he first watched the movie Om Shanti Om in 2007, veteran actor Manoj Kumar was a very angry man.  The reasons were obvious.  He did not like the way he was spoofed in the flick. He immediately took the producers to the court (2008), following which the court had asked them to remove all the scenes that were found distasteful by Manoj, from all prints as well as broadcast material forever.

Reportedly, Kumar will now file a lawsuit of Rs. 100 crore against Shah Rukh Khan and Eros International, the producers of OSO, for screening the film in Japan without deleting the 'objectionable' scenes.

According to a report in Oneindia.com, Manoj Kumar said,  "The film was released in Japan without deleting those scenes. I had forgiven them twice but not this time. They have disrespected me. They also face contempt of court as in 2008 the court had asked them to forever and from all prints and broadcast material, delete those scenes."

"I would file civil and criminal proceedings against the producers (Shah Rukh Khan and Eros International) for seeking damages to the tune of Rs 100 crore for showing Om Shanti Om in Japan without removing objectionable scenes as ordered by Mumbai civil court in 2008", he added.

Directed by Farah Khan, Om Shanti Om marked Deepika Padukone's debut in Bollywood and was recently released in Japan.
